SLAMbassadors is the national individual youth slam for 13-19 year olds run by The Poetry Society. Since 2001 it has been unearthing new talent, igniting live events, and developing the future of UK spoken word.

For the first time ever, UniSlam is teaming up with The Poetry Society to deliver a SLAMbassadors Midlands Weekend – a two day event of intensive spoken word workshops led by poetry slam legends Kat Francois and Jess Green. The weekend will be hosted at Curve Theatre in Leicester Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th July 2019 and a showcase of all the poets will take place on the evening of the 25th.

Entries open 19th June and close 22nd July. To enter, you must be 13-19 years old and based in the Midlands. Send us a video of you performing one of your poems (this can be recorded on your phone, the video does not need to be high quality) and a paragraph about why you want to take part.
